What a wonderful gift to donate a day to raise money for CHERUBS and what a wonderful group of kids! _________________ mom of Shane (1/28/93-9/11/99) LCDH x 6, multiple complications and birth defects, Duke PICU first 10 months, trach for 3 years, vent for 2 years, oxygen for 2.5 years, developmentally delayed, cerebra palsy, hearing impaired, blind for 1 yr, home-schooled, Mic-Key button and severe feeding issues, pneumonia, blood infection, ASD, pulmonary sequestration, tracheomalacia, bilateral undescended testes, hypospadius, etc... you name it, the kid probably had it, except for ECMO. Walked, did sign language, adored Sesames St and books and his Precious Moments doll... despite all a very, very happy and loving and generous kid. Lost to extremely rare complications due to reherniation and gastropleural fistula at age 6 and a half. Also wife to my amazing, supportive, wonderful husband, Craig and step-mom to my incredible 13-yr-old twins, Braden and Garret also President & Founder, CHERUBS since 1995
